Job summary

TÜV SÜD is seeking a Civil Site Surveyor to perform on-site surveying, data collection, and alignment activities across our project sites in Tamil Nadu. You will read civil drawings, operate total stations and GPS, ensure measurements align with specifications, and maintain meticulous survey records.

The role requires a diploma or bachelor’s in civil engineering with several years of field experience, and a willingness to travel to project sites. Safety and quality compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 3+ years of field experience or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of field experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and collect accurate field measurements and data.
• Carry out setting-out and alignment activities as per approved drawings and project requirements.
• Perform measurements of levels, distances, elevations, and coordinates at project sites.
• Prepare and maintain survey reports, field records, sketches, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with Civil Engineers, Project Engineers, Contractors, and other site personnel.
• Verify site conditions against approved drawings and identify any discrepancies.
• Assist in monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of surveying instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of survey data and measurements.
• Follow all applicable safety and quality requirements while carrying out site activities.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in infrastructure, construction, industrial, or engineering projects will be preferred.
