Job summary

Gilbarco Veeder-Root, a Vontier company, seeks a Supplier Quality professional in India with 4–6 years of experience in supplier quality. You will drive improvements across domestic and import suppliers, oversee process audits, tool life management, and Kaizen activities to improve first-pass yield.

Qualifications

• Graduation / Degree in mechanical engineering (B.E) required.
• 4–6 years experience in supplier quality function.
• Experience with 8D, QC tools and Six Sigma is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the Supplier Vontier Assessment Process and drive for improvements.
• Development and Qualification of Parts from Domestic and Import Suppliers.
• Handle Supplier Quality issues at Incoming, Assembly and Field.
• Monitor and Improve Supplier Performance and drive improvements.
• Conduct Manufacturing Process Audit at suppliers and drive improvements.
• Monitor life of casting tool and drive qualification of replacement tool.
• Implement VBS Practices at suppliers.
• Drive Kaizens at suppliers to improve FPY.
• Conduct required training for suppliers for development.

Responsibilities (List All)

• Conduct the Supplier Vontier Assessment Process and drive for the improvements
• Development and Qualification of Parts from the Domestic and Import Suppliers
• Handling the Supplier Quality issues at the Incoming, Assembly and Field
• Monitor and Improve the Supplier Performance and drive for improvements
• Conduct the Manufacturing Process Audit at the suppliers and drive for improvements
• Monitor the life of the casting tool and drive for the qualification of replacement tool
• Implement the VBS Practices at the suppliers
• Drive for the Kaizens at the suppliers to improve the FPY%
• Conduct the required training for the suppliers for the development

Essential

• Qualification: Graduation / Degree - B.E Mechanical Engineer
• Experience: Should have around 4 - 6 years of experience in the Supplier Quality Function

Skills

• Should have experience in Aluminium Die Casting, Grey Iron Casting, Machining, Rubber, Plastic Molding and Surface Treatment Processes
• Should have experience in Supplier Qualification, Parts Development and Qualification and Quality Complaints Handling (8D, 7 QC Tools and Six Sigma Etc.,)
• Should have experience in handling the various Measuring Instruments such as Profile Projector, Video Measuring Machine and CMM
• Should have experience in handling the IPO Projects (Supplier Qualification and Parts Development) for the global requirements
• Should have experience in MIS Data Management Processes

Preferable

• Supplier Quality Candidate from the Global MNC Organization is preferred
