Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking a senior Supplier Quality professional for its India operations. You will manage incoming inspection, monitor supplier performance, and release PPAP documentation to ensure quality standards across automotive supply chains.

The role requires deep knowledge of IATF/TS16949, APQP/PPAP, FMEA, SPC and MSA, along with hands-on experience in gears or related production processes. You will coordinate with plants and suppliers to drive automotive-grade quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IATF TS16949 quality systems and core tools.
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC and MSA in auto manufacturing.
• Strong supplier quality and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Incoming Inspection Management for supplier parts.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions.
• Review and release of supplier PPAP documentation.
• Manage change control and process improvements.
• Address supplier part quality issues and track action plans.
• Apply core tools and manufacturing process knowledge to resolve issues.
• Coordinate between plant and supplier to fix issues and meet automotive requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Incoming Inspection Management.
• Supplier Performance Monitoring.

• Handling the Part Quality issues of supplier and Monitor the action plan through various Quality tools.
• In-depth knowledge about IATF/TS16949 & other core tools like APQP, PPAP, FMEA,SPC,MSA
• Knowledge about various Problem Solving Techniques.
• Knowledge about various Manufacturing processes. i.e. Molding, Stamping Rubber etc.
• Process Auditing Skill. System Audit /Process Audit /VDA Audit etc.
• Management of Supplier Part Quality related cost.
• Effective Co-ordination and management skill to fix up the issues between Plant and Supplier.
• Aggressive in driving suppliers to meet the automotive requirements.

Your Qualifications

• Educational Qualification - B.E in Mechanical Engineering or equavalent.
• 9 to 12 Years of work experiance in Automotive Industry.
• Candidates with experiance in Gears and related production process experiance is preferred.
• Major portion of work experiance in Supplier Quality or Quality profile is preferred.
• Related work experiace to E Axils will be considered an added advantage.
• Capablity to assume complete owership of assigned work area and execute all related tasks with a pro-active approch.
