Qualifications

• Graduate/Engineering degree or diploma in technical field.
• Second Mate FG/Dredge Mate Grade-I COC holder or equivalent is preferred.
• 6–10 years of dredging field experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production planning and execution for dredging projects.
• Coordinate with clients and port officials on progress updates.
• Maintain dredger equipment specifications and data.
• Plan and review bathymetric surveys to guide operations.
• Prepare monthly MIS reports and manage SAP tasks.
• Manage bunkers, water, and crew resources; ensure safe operations.
• Uphold safety norms, conduct risk assessments and drills.

Purpose/Objective

• Superintendent - Operations TSHD leads operational strategies for efficient and safe dredging, emphasizing quality service delivery, client satisfaction, safety regulations, survey planning, and logistical coordination.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Operational Planning and Execution: - Oversee production planning and execution, ensuring efficient monitoring and control of production data, optimizing time management and quality.
• Project Management: - Liaise with clients and port representatives to provide updates on dredging progress, addressing customer issues for enhanced satisfaction.
• Dredger Equipment Maintenance: - Maintain technical specifications, geotechnical data, and ensure dredger upkeep for optimal output.
• Survey Planning and Coordination: - Plan and review bathymetric survey operations, analysing productivity to inform dredging strategies.
• MIS Preparation and Data Collection: - Evaluate production and consumption data, prepare monthly reports, and manage SAP tasks for efficient operations.
• Resource Management: - Manage bunkers and fresh water supplies, optimize resource use, and coordinate crew operations for smooth execution.
• Health & Safety: - Adhere to safety norms, conduct risk assessments, and prepare for emergencies with regular drills and compliance tracking.
• Team Development: - Promote a respectful and safe workplace, lead collaborative and productive teams, and mentor for growth and success.
