Job summary

Adani Group in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh seeks a Surveyor to conduct hydrographic and topographic surveys for dredging support. You will use instruments to create precise bathymetric maps and ensure data integrity through strict quality control.

Responsibilities include survey planning and execution, data acquisition, mapping with Hypack and AutoCAD, tidal corrections, equipment maintenance, data management, and reporting to project managers and HODs.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Survey or Naval Survey Recorder or Diploma/BTech in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years as Hydro + Topo surveyor.
• Experience in survey planning, data processing and reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute surveys with attention to environmental factors and accuracy.
• Conduct advanced hydrographic surveys and track sediment for dredging safety.
• Create underwater maps/models; use Hypack and AutoCAD for charts.
• Analyze tidal data to adjust depth measurements for dredging operations.
• Maintain, calibrate, and service survey equipment regularly.
• Organize data storage, backups, and standardize formats for reuse.
• Deliver comprehensive reports to project managers and HODs.

Purpose/Objective

Surveyor conducts hydrographic and topographic surveys for dredging support. Utilizes diverse instruments to create precise bathymetric maps, with strict quality control for data integrity.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Survey Planning and Execution: Plan and execute surveys, considering environmental factors for accuracy. Allocate resources and follow project goals.
• Data Acquisition and Processing: Conduct advanced hydrographic surveys. Track sediment and hazards for dredging and safety.
• Mapping and Modelling: Create detailed underwater maps and models. Use software like Hypack and AutoCAD for informative charts.
• Tidal Analysis: Analyze tidal data to ensure consistent depth measurements. Adjust for tidal effects in dredging operations.
• Equipment Maintenance: Keep survey equipment ready and calibrated. Schedule maintenance and stay technologically current.
• Survey Data Management: Organize data storage and backups. Standardize data formats for easy use.
• Quality Control and Assurance: Enforce quality control for reliable data. Calibrate equipment and validate data regularly.
• Documentation and Reporting: Manage data integrity and accessibility. Deliver comprehensive reports to stakeholders efficiently.
• Budget Control: Work with survey heads on budgeting. Control costs and ensure cost-effective resource use.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and improve survey processes. Incorporate advancements for better efficiency and precision.
