Job summary

Adani Ports and SEZ seeks an experienced dredge professional to lead harbour projects with TSHD operations, planning, scheduling, and mobilization.

You will manage daily dredging performance, optimise parameters, ensure compliance with design and HSE standards, coordinate with surveyors, Master and CE, and deliver complete project closeout with lessons learned and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Dredge Master Grade 1 or Dredge Mate with TSHD sailing and shore project management experience.
  • M.Tech in Harbour and Dredging with TSHD project experience; or Civil Engineer with TSHD project experience.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Do complete planning for the project, select the dredger, scheduling and mobilization plan; coordinate crew, spares, consumables, and survey equipment.
  • Technical and Operational Management: Oversee daily TSHD operations, optimise dredging parameters, monitor production, ensure compliance with dredging design, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with surveyors to validate daily, interim, pre, and post surveys.
  • HSE: Implement and enforce HSE at site.
  • Contract Management: Ensure work executed per contract terms and BOQ, monitor progress and benchmark with the plan.
  • Crew and Vessel Management: Coordinate with Master and CE, ensure competent crew manning as per safe manning and project requirements, and coordinate maintenance schedule with Technical.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare DPR, weekly/monthly reports, and maintain project close‑out documentation.
  • Project Closeout: Ensure final survey meets contract requirements, finalize quantities, claims, and completion certificates, prepare lessons learned, and demobilise efficiently from site upon project completion.

Qualifications
  • Educational Qualifications: Dredge Master Grade 1 or Dredge Mate with sailing experience on TSHDs and shore experience as Project Manager; or M.Tech in Harbour and Dredging with TSHD project experience; or Civil Engineer with TSHD project experience.
  • Relevant Experience: 10 to 15 years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure.
