Job summary

Welspun World is seeking a Demand Planning professional to strengthen forecasting accuracy, inventory control, and cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Category, Finance, and Manufacturing. You will help drive consensus demand planning and support SOP processes to ensure product availability across channels.

The role emphasizes coordinating with manufacturing teams, preparing forecasts, and maintaining planning data to maximize customer service levels and reduce excess stock.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze statistical forecasts and demand planning reports to support business objectives
Monitor forecast accuracy and implement strategies to improve forecasting processes and outcomes
Coordinate production planning activities with manufacturing plants to align with demand forecasts
Maintain optimal inventory levels and establish safety stock norms to ensure product availability
Prepare and distribute weekly inventory net requirement reports to relevant stakeholders
Support Sales and Operations Planning SOP meetings through data preparation and comprehensive reporting
Monitor and manage new product launches promotions and product transitions to ensure supply chain alignment
Maintain and update SAP planning data and master data to ensure accuracy and reliability
Analyze inventory aging and develop strategies to support liquidation activities effectively
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify and resolve supply chain issues promptly
Generate Management Information System MIS reports and planning dashboards for management review and decisionmaking

Job Purpose/ Summary

Ensuring strong analysis of forecast performance and driving initiatives that enable the business to efficiently meet customer demand, improve supply chain efficiency, optimize inventory, and maximize product availability across all channels.

Job Description

Support demand forecasting activities by collecting historical sales data, preparing statistical forecasts, and assisting in consensus demand planning meetings. Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Category, Finance, and Manufacturing teams to monitor inventory levels, production plans, new product launches, and promotional requirements. Prepare weekly inventory reports, monitor stock availability, update planning systems, maintain master data accuracy, assist in S&OP activities, analyze forecast accuracy, identify supply risks, and recommend corrective actions to improve customer service levels and inventory efficiency. Ensure timely communication with manufacturing plants regarding production requirements and support inventory liquidation initiatives to reduce excess stock.
