Story Squad Migration Consultants in Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram, seeks a Student Counsellor to join as a full-time, office-based role focused on counselling students planning to study abroad. Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a Student Counsellor to join Story Squad Migration Consultants at Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram. This is a full-time, office-based role focused on counselling students who are planning to study abroad.

Salary: Attractive Salary + performance-based incentives.

• Conduct one-to-one counselling with students and parents regarding overseas education opportunities.
• Understand students' academic background, career goals, budget and study preferences.
• Recommend suitable countries, study destinations, courses and universities based on student requirements.
• Handle counselling through phone calls, WhatsApp and in-person meetings.
• Follow up with prospective students and guide them through their decision-making process.
• Assist students with course and institution selection and admission application procedures.
• Guide students regarding application documentation and coordinate with the internal admissions team.
• Maintain regular communication and provide updates to students and parents on application progress.
• Maintain accurate records of counselling, follow-ups, applications and student status.
• Build professional relationships with students and parents.
• Work towards counselling and application-related targets while maintaining quality student service.
• Earn performance-based incentives in addition to the monthly salary based on individual performance and results.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1-3 years of hands-on experience specifically in study abroad / overseas education counselling.
• Practical experience counselling students and guiding them through international admission/application processes.
• Good understanding of overseas study destinations, courses, universities and admission procedures.
• Experience handling student and parent queries, follow-ups and application-related communication.
• Strong communication skills in English and Malayalam both are required.
• Tamil is an added advantage, but not mandatory.
• Should be comfortable communicating with students through phone, WhatsApp and email.
• Good follow-up skills, attention to documentation and ability to manage multiple student cases.
• Graduation preferred.
• Candidates with only generic telecalling, BPO/customer service or unrelated sales experience may not be suitable for this role.
