Vibedu Study Abroad in Kochi is seeking a Student Counsellor to guide students and parents through international education options. You will handle admissions, follow-ups, and lead conversion, coordinating with the admissions team to ensure smooth processing.

The role involves presenting suitable destinations, universities, and courses, explaining costs and requirements, and achieving growth targets while maintaining professional relationships with families.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of experience in education counselling or study abroad guidance.
• Ability to interact with students and parents and understand goals.
• Experience with CRM and lead follow-up processes.

Responsibilities

• Counsel students and parents on study-abroad opportunities and options.
• Understand student backgrounds, goals, budget and preferences.
• Recommend suitable countries, universities and courses.
• Explain admission requirements, tuition, scholarships and procedures.
• Handle leads from digital marketing, inquiries, seminars, walk-ins.
• Follow up with prospects via calls, chats, meetings.
• Convert qualified leads into applications and enrollments.
• Maintain accurate student/lead data in CRM and coordinate with teams.
• Stay updated on universities, courses, intakes, and requirements.
• Aim for individual and team counselling/conversion targets.
• Participate in education fairs and student engagement activities.

Vibedu Study Abroad is an overseas education consultancy helping students pursue higher education opportunities across countries including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and Europe.

We are expanding our Kochi branch and are looking for an energetic and result-oriented Student Counsellor – Study Abroad to guide students and parents through their international education journey.

The Role

This is a student counselling + admissions + lead conversion role.

You will interact with students and parents, understand their academic and career goals, recommend suitable study-abroad options, follow up with prospective students and convert qualified leads into applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel students and parents regarding study-abroad opportunities
• Understand students’ academic background, career goals, budget and preferences
• Recommend suitable countries, universities, courses and intake options
• Explain admission requirements, tuition fees, scholarships and application procedures
• Handle leads generated through digital marketing, enquiries, seminars and walk-ins
• Follow up with prospective students through calls, WhatsApp and meetings
• Convert qualified leads into applications and enrolments
• Maintain accurate student and lead information in the CRM
• Coordinate with the admissions and application-processing team
• Stay updated on universities, courses, intakes and admission requirements
• Achieve individual and team counselling/conversion targets
• Participate in seminars, education fairs, college visits and student engagement activities
• Maintain a professional relationship with students and parents throughout the counselling process

What We’re Looking For

• 1–5 years of experience in education counselling, study abroad, overseas education, admissions, EdTech, IELTS or related fields
• Candidates with experience in study-abroad counselling will have an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong English communication skills
• Malayalam communication is preferred
• Ability to understand student requirements and recommend appropriate options
• Strong follow-up and lead-conversion skills
• Comfortable working with targets and CRM systems
• Positive, confident and professional approach
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
