Job summary

DAL's Overseas Consultants is seeking a motivated Overseas Education Counsellor to guide students aiming to study abroad. You will assess academic backgrounds, career goals, budgets, and destinations, and suggest suitable universities, courses and scholarships.

Responsibilities include follow-ups with prospective students, assisting with applications, coordinating with admissions and visa teams, and converting enquiries into enrolments while maintaining CRM records and achieving targets.

Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate in any discipline.
• Strong communication and counselling skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good command of English; knowledge of Hindi and Gujarati is a plus.
• Proven ability to follow up with students and convert enquiries.
• Proficient with CRM software and basic MS Office.

• Understand students' profiles, goals, budgets and preferred destinations.
• Recommend suitable countries, universities, colleges and courses.
• Explain admission requirements, intakes, tuition fees, scholarships and applications.
• Handle enquiries via calls, walk-ins, WhatsApp, social media and other channels.
• Follow up with prospective students and convert enquiries into applications and enrolments.
• Assist students with university and college applications.
• Coordinate with admissions, documentation and visa processing teams.
• Maintain accurate records of student enquiries and follow-ups in CRM.
• Keep updated with university requirements and deadlines.
• Build relationships with students and parents throughout counselling.
• Participate in seminars, fairs, counselling sessions and promotional activities.
• Achieve assigned counselling, application and conversion targets.

Candidate Requirements

• Graduate or postgraduate in any discipline.
• Previous experience in overseas education counselling, admissions or student recruitment is preferred.
• Freshers with strong communication and counselling skills may also be considered.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of English; knowledge of Hindi and Gujarati will be an advantage.
• Strong counselling, follow-up and convincing skills.
• Comfortable speaking with students and parents.
• Good computer knowledge and familiarity with email, MS Office and CRM systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
