Job summary

Vibedu Study Abroad in Kochi seeks an Education Counselor to guide students and parents regarding overseas education opportunities, understand profiles, and convert enquiries into applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and counselling skills, knowledge of study abroad processes, and the ability to manage multiple student enquiries and conversions. This on-site role is based in Kochi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant educational qualification.
• Minimum 1+ year of experience in Overseas Education Counselling or similar role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle leads, follow-ups, and conversions.
• Knowledge of overseas education destinations and admission processes will be preferred.
• Familiarity with the UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, Ireland and other European countries.

Responsibilities

• Counsel students and parents regarding overseas education opportunities and suitable study destinations.
• Understand students' academic backgrounds, career aspirations, financial considerations, and preferences to recommend suitable universities and courses.
• Provide accurate information regarding universities, courses, eligibility requirements, admission procedures, and application processes.
• Handle student enquiries generated through various sources and ensure timely follow-up.
• Convert qualified enquiries into applications and work towards monthly targets.
• Guide students throughout the application process, including university selection, documentation, and admission follow-up.
• Maintain regular communication with prospective students and parents via calls, meetings, WhatsApp, emails and follow-ups.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated, result-oriented, and experienced Education Counselor to join our Kochi team. The candidate will be responsible for counselling students and parents regarding overseas education opportunities, understanding their academic profiles and career goals, converting enquiries into applications, and providing continuous support throughout the admission process.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and counselling skills, strong knowledge of study abroad processes, and the ability to effectively manage student enquiries and conversions.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel students and parents regarding overseas education opportunities and suitable study destinations.
• Understand students' academic backgrounds, career aspirations, financial considerations, and preferences to recommend suitable universities and courses.
• Provide accurate information regarding universities, courses, eligibility requirements, admission procedures, and application processes.
• Handle student enquiries generated through various sources and ensure timely follow-up.

• Guide students throughout the application process, including university selection, documentation, application submission, and admission follow-up.
• Maintain regular communication with prospective students and parents through calls, meetings, WhatsApp, emails, and follow-ups.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth and timely application process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student information, follow-up records, and application status in the CRM.
• Ensure proper documentation and completion of required student application processes.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with students and parents.
• Participate in educational events, seminars, webinars, student engagement activities, and promotional campaigns when required.
• Stay updated on study abroad trends, university requirements, visa processes, and changes in international education.
• Achieve individual monthly targets for applications, conversions, and other assigned performance parameters.
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required by the reporting manager.
• Follow company policies, processes, and counselling standards at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ year of experience in Overseas Education Counselling, Study Abroad Consultancy, or a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree or relevant educational qualification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent counselling, convincing, and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to understand student requirements and provide suitable guidance.
• Experience in handling leads, follow-ups, and conversions.
• Knowledge of overseas education destinations, universities, courses, and admission processes will be preferred.
• Familiarity with destinations such as the UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, Ireland, and other European countries will be an added advantage.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
• Basic knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
