Responsibilities

  • Receive pharmaceutical materials, products, packaging materials, and other supplies.
  • Verify received materials against purchase orders, invoices, delivery challans, and approved specifications.
  • Check quantity, batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date, and physical condition of materials.
  • Ensure proper storage of materials according to specified temperature, humidity, and storage conditions.
  • Maintain proper FIFO/FEFO practices, particularly for products with expiry requirements.
  • Maintain accurate stock records in ERP/software and physical registers.
  • Issue materials to production, quality, dispatch, or other departments against authorized requisitions.
  • Monitor stock levels and inform the Store Manager about shortages, excess stock, near-expiry items, and slow-moving inventory.
  • Maintain proper segregation and identification of approved, rejected, quarantined, returned, and expired materials.
  • Ensure proper labeling and identification of all materials stored in the warehouse.
  • Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain records related to inward, outward, stock transfer, returns, and inventory adjustments.
  • Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and other departments as required.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the store/warehouse area.
  • Follow company SOPs, GMP/GDP requirements, safety procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation and support internal and external audits.
  • Ensure that expired, damaged, or rejected materials are handled and segregated as per company procedures.
  • Monitor storage conditions and maintain temperature/humidity records where applicable.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of material-handling equipment and store facilities.
  • Perform any other store-related duties assigned by the management.
