Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Material Management professional with a BSc to oversee day-to-day material indenting, receiving, and inventory control. The role focuses on streamlining processes, implementing SOPs, and ensuring accurate recording of material bookings and issues.

You will reconcile material consumption, perform asset verification, and drive cost-saving through better store utilisation while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Science or equivalent is preferred for the role.
• Knowledge of material management and inventory control processes.
• Ability to implement SOPs and contribute to cost-saving through better store utilisation.

Responsibilities

• Material indenting, receiving, and timely recording of bookings and issues.
• Plan to utilise IT/systems to reduce repetitive work without compromising safety and quality.
• Reconciliation of material and generation of material/fuel consumption reports.
• Physical verification of assets and materials monthly and strict stock control.
• Move material from store to site and ensure proper issue/control of material.

Job Description

• Material Management - Regular day to day work—Material Indent, Receiving Material, Checking , Entry of Timely Recording of booking and issue.
• Plan to utilise Information Technology/Current system of the company to minimise repetitive work and in major process without compromising safety and quality. It can save valuable time, manpower and cost.
• Reconciliation of Material, Material consumption report, Fuel consumption report
• Physical Verification of Assets and Material on each month and strict control on Stock.
• Scrape Declaration and Sale as per Company’s guideline.
• Movement of Material from Store to site : Control of material issue and implementation of SOP.
• Share ideas on Material management, better utilisation of Store and minimise cost of store handling. Better utilisation resources.
• Ensure Safety of Material and Safety SOP for Loading, unloading and storing of material.
• Reporting/Reduction of Slow moving of Items, declaration of Non-moving item.
• Vendor Development, Market Survey, Procurement of Store material at competitive price.
• Follow of Company’s code of conduct.
• Excellent co-ordiantion with Client, vendor and staffs to carry out work smoothly.
• Self development through Learning , implementation and sharing with colleagues. Add value to your performance.
