Job summary

Bigbasket is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day multi-store activities and drive efficiency. The role covers P&L, manpower planning, and inventory accuracy, with collaboration across HR and central teams.

Ideal candidate will have strong retail knowledge, experience managing large teams, and a process-driven approach to FMCG operations. This on-site role focuses on delivering timely inventory, SOP adherence, and safe, compliant store operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of multiple stores, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
• Manage P&L, expenses, sales collections, and operational costs.
• Plan and ensure adequate manpower availability as per the roster.
• Handle recruitment, employee training, attendance, attrition, and performance in coordination with HR.
• Manage inventory, stock levels, stock indenting, inward, returns, and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure GRN, stacking, FIFO, cycle counts, and monthly wall-to-wall inventory are completed on time.
• Monitor and resolve inventory discrepancies, negative inventory, damages, expiry, RTV/PRN, and undelivered items.
• Ensure on-time picking, order handover, and last-mile delivery.
• Monitor FV/QC, product availability, shelf arrangement, location changes, and planogram compliance.
• Manage transport and logistics, including inter-DC and long-tail supply.
• Manage fixed and movable assets, including MCIP assets.
• Coordinate security and housekeeping activities.
• Ensure proper maintenance of mandatory registers, records, MIS reports, and operational documentation.
• Conduct daily team briefings and communicate operational priorities to executives and associates.
• Ensure 100% process and SOP adherence across stores.
• Monitor workplace safety and hygiene standards.
• Identify operational gaps and initiate projects and process improvements to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure all required inventory reports and approvals are shared with the central HO team on time.

Preferred candidate profile
