Job summary

Focus Management Consultants' client in Kandivali is hiring a Store In-Charge to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s store/warehouse. You will manage receipt, storage, issuance and inventory control of raw materials, spare parts, components and finished goods required for production and dispatch.

The role emphasizes maintaining accurate records, ensuring safe storage, conducting regular stock checks, and coordinating with procurement to maintain uninterrupted manufacturing

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate stock records (raw materials, components, finished goods, spare parts, consumables, etc.).
• Receive and inspect incoming materials; verify against purchase orders/ delivery challans/ quality checks as applicable; issue materials to production or other departments as required.
• Perform regular physical stock checks, cycle counts, and reconcile system records with physical stock.
• Monitor stock levels; coordinate with procurement/purchase to raise requisitions or reorders when stock falls below defined minimum.
• Implement store protocols such as FIFO/LIFO (as applicable), proper labelling, categorization, and storage to avoid damage or wastage.

Position Summary:

The Store-In-Charge will manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the companys store/warehouse. This includes receipt, storage, issuance, inventory control of raw materials, spare parts, components and finished goods as needed for production and dispatch. The role ensures smooth flow of materials, accurate records, and adherence to safety and storekeeping best practices to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory & Stock Management

• Maintain accurate stock records (raw materials, components, finished goods, spare parts, consumables, etc.).
• Receive and inspect incoming materials verify against purchase orders / delivery challans / quality check (if applicable). Issue materials to production or other departments as per requisitions / material requests when required.
• Perform regular physical stock checks, cycle counts, and reconcile system records with physical stock.
• Monitor stock levels; coordinate with procurement / purchase department to raise requisitions / reorder when stock falls below defined minimum.
• Implement store protocols such as FIFO / LIFO (as applicable), proper labelling, categorization, and storage practices to avoid damage, deterioration or wastage of materials.

Store & Warehouse Operations

• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness and safe storage conditions in the store/ warehouse area.
• Organize storage layout and space to maximize storage efficiency and ease of material retrieval.
• Supervise store personnel (if any), assign tasks, and ensure compliance with storekeeping procedures and safety norms.

Documentation, Reporting & Coordination

• Maintain all necessary documentation: goods received notes (GRN), material issue registers, stock movement logs, inward/outward registers.
