Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer – Vehicle Design to support the design and development of automotive and vehicle systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in vehicle architecture, sheet metal and plastic component design, CAD modelling, GD&T, and product development processes from concept to production.

The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including CAE, manufacturing, prototyping, suppliers, and customers, to deliver innovative and manufacturable vehicle design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop vehicle components and assemblies for 2 Wheeler/3 Wheeler automotive and mobility applications.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Perform vehicle packaging studies, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design validation activities.
• Develop sheet metal, plastic, casting, and fabricated components as per industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with DFM, DFA, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with CAE, prototype, testing, and manufacturing teams for product development activities.
• Conduct design reviews, root cause analysis, and engineering change management.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders for technical discussions.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and production implementation.
• Strong knowledge of automotive vehicle systems and product development lifecycle.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a minimum of 70% aggregate marks in:

• 10th Standard (SSLC)
• 12th Standard (PUC/HSC/Diploma)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Automotive Engineering or related discipline from a recognized university.

Preferred Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in automotive or vehicle design engineering.
• Experience working with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, or engineering service companies is preferred.
• Electric Vehicle (EV) platform development.
• Prototype development and manufacturing support.
• Experience in complete vehicle integration projects.
• Exposure to global automotive standards and processes.
