Job summary

Brothers & Co. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in static equipment design for the oil & gas sector.

You will contribute to conception through completion, ensuring compliance with ASME/API standards and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality equipment designs. The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in PVElite and Compress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in static equipment design within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API codes and standards related to static equipment.
• Proven experience in execution of complex projects from conception to completion.
• Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in engineering design software (PVElite, Compress); Compress experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Role involves executing static equipment design tasks from conception to completion.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and vendors as needed.
• Review and validate engineering drawings and calculations for static equipment.
• Support the preparation of summary sheets related to loads, insulation, painting and auxiliary structures.

Role & responsibilities

• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Should have experience in static equipment design within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASME, API, etc.) related to static equipment design.
• Proven experience in execution complex projects from conception to completion.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in engineering design software and tools (e.g., PVElite & Compress). Added advantage with candidate having Compress tool knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred candidate profile

• To guarantee the quality of the generated mechanical calculations of pressure equipment and their compliance with the contractual and company standards, procedures and work instructions
• To keep him/herself up-to-date about the technical specific improvement of the discipline
• To check the engineering drawings and the relevant mechanical calculations of static equipment supplied by the Vendors.
• To coordinate the activities of the draftsmen charged to prepare the engineering drawings of each static equipment and transmit any necessary information.
• To provide for the compilation and issue of the summary sheets of the loads acting on the supports, fireproofing, insulation, painting and auxiliary structure weights of static equipment.
