Job summary

Source-Right is seeking a Stamping Simulation Engineer with hands-on PAM-STAMP experience to drive automotive sheet metal component development and manufacturability assessment.

You will perform stamping simulations, analyze formability, thinning, wrinkling, splits, and springback, and support feasibility studies through manufacturing validation. Collaboration with BIW, Tooling, Die Design and Manufacturing teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on PAM-STAMP experience for stamping simulations.
• Knowledge of sheet metal stamping processes and formability analysis.
• Understanding BIW, tooling and die development and springback concepts.

Job Description

We are looking for a Stamping Simulation Engineer with hands-on experience in PAMSTAMP for automotive sheet metal component development and manufacturability assessment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform stamping simulations using PAM-STAMP for sheet metal components.
• Analyze formability, thinning, wrinkling, splits, springback, and die-face design issues.
• Support feasibility studies and manufacturing validation during product development.
• Work closely with BIW, Tooling, Die Design, and Manufacturing teams.
• Optimize stamping process parameters to achieve defect-free production.
• Prepare technical reports and present simulation results to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with customers and cross-functional teams for design improvements.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in PAM-STAMP.
• Good knowledge of sheet metal stamping processes and formability analysis.
• Understanding of automotive BIW parts, tooling, and die development.
• Experience in springback compensation and feasibility studies.
• Knowledge of GD&T and automotive manufacturing processes.
• Exposure to CATIA/NX is an added advantage.
