Job summary

Zydus Family Clinic in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, seeks a dedicated nurse to provide professional nursing care in an assigned unit, following established standards and the medical plan of care.

You will take nursing histories, organize patient files, administer medications and treatments, participate in rounds, ensure admissions and discharges are smooth, and maintain infection control, documentation, and handover processes across shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care with an assigned unit according to established standards and procedures.
• Provide comprehensive care to assigned patients.
• Take the nursing history, summarize data and state nursing diagnoses / patient care needs.
• Organize and maintain patient file and reports as per MRD requirements in all shifts.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms and physiological status; communicate changes to the concerned authority.
• Ensure smooth admission, discharge and transfer procedures and assist with patient activities and care.
• Follow handover process with written/online notes and ensure proper patient handover.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders; read-back policy.
• Maintain safety for specimen collection and ensure reports are informed to consultant.
• Participate in rounds and provide relevant nursing assessment information.
• Check that equipment is functioning during each handover and keep equipment charged.
• Record and charge medications and items used for patients; return drugs on internal transfer as required.
• Maintain patient and companion safety and report incidents; ensure infection control and bio-waste guidelines are followed.
• Daily briefing points and sign-off are completed for day-to-day updates.

• Follows policy and delivers designated nursinginterventions to assigned patients that are consistent with the documentedmedical plan of care.
• Takes the nursing history, summarizes data andstates nursing diagnoses / patient care needs.

• Ensure identification safety for collection ofspecimens during collection and till the report informed to consultant.
• Participate in consultant’s rounds and assist bygiving relevant information based on nursing assessment/reassessment andobservations.
• Carry out routine check at each handover thatall equipment’s are in working order.
• Keep equipment’s in charging.
• Ensure that all items used for patientsinclusive of medications, surgical supplies are duly recorded and charged.
• Ensure during internal transfer except theordered medicine all other drug to be returned before shifting to other unit.
• Maintain patients and accompanies safety bytaking preventive measures against accidents.
• Accurately records and reports incidents.
• Ensure every error to be recorded.
• Ensure strict infection control protocol andbio-waste guidelines to be followed for 24x7.
• Ensure that daily briefing points and sign offare mandatory for day to day update.
