Job summary

Zydus Family Clinic in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is seeking a Lab Technician to support daily laboratory operations. You will organize work by aligning computer orders with specimen labeling, sorting specimens, logging results, and preparing reports for delivery.

You will conduct independent testing under supervision, maintain quality controls, calibrate equipment, and follow SOPs to ensure accuracy. Safety, stock management, and timely reporting are essential responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Organize work by matching computer orders on HINAI software with specimen labeling, sort specimens, log specimens, and arrange reports for delivery.
• Independent testing by the technician on various instruments in core and wet labs under supervision.
• Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, calibrating and testing equipment, and following SOPs.
• Ensure reports are certified by authorized signatories as soon as results are inter-phased.
• Operate standard laboratory equipment (centrifuges, pipettes, pH meters) and maintain proper safety procedures.
• Record and interpret results when needed, keep knowledge updated on latest technical developments, and report incidences.

• Independenttesting by the technician on the various instruments in core and wet labs,after proper training done under the supervision of pathologist.
• Maintainquality results by running standards and controls, verifying equipmentfunction through routine equipment maintenance and advanced troubleshooting; calibrating and testing equipment utilizing approved testingprocedures SOPs; monitoring quality control measures and protocols,maintains turn over time.
• Ensurethat the reports are certified by the authorized signatories as soon asthe results are inter-phased
• Construct,maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment, for examplecentrifuges, pipetting machines and pH meters.
• Ensureadequate required stock and resourced.
• Recordand sometimes interpret results to present to senior colleagues.
• Performmathematical calculations for the preparation of graphs; Keep updating theknowledge with the latest technical developments, especially those whichcan save time and improve reliability.
• Followand ensure strict safety procedures and safety checks.
• Collectsand to report incidences in the Lab and help in taking the correctiveactions appropriately.
