Job Description
Staff Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients by assessing health conditions, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient progress, assisting physicians during clinical procedures, educating patients and families, and ensuring safe, compassionate, and evidence-based patient care.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assess patients and prepare individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, blood products, and prescribed treatments.
- Monitor vital signs and report significant clinical changes.
- Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and emergencies.
- Perform wound care, catheter care, dressing changes, and other nursing procedures.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, and discharge care.
- Coordinate with consultants and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Respond to medical emergencies and participate in Code Blue activities.
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and medication safety protocols.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards and hospital policies.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Nursing In-charge.
