ConveGenius seeks an experienced backend engineer to lead development of scalable services using Node.js, Express.js, and microservices. You will mentor developers, own delivery outcomes, and ensure robust performance in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• Minimum of four years of professional experience.
• Experience mentoring developers with work allocation and feedback.
• Expertise in JavaScript (ES6) and Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with Express.js and Restify.
• Backend services for large-scale data.
• Architect high-availability cloud apps; microservices preferred.
• MySQL and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB).
• Write complex SQL queries.
• Knowledge of Node.js event loop.
• Technical deep-dives into code.
• GenAI-powered backend tools (prompt routers, embedding search, RAG).
• WebSockets understanding.
• Clean architecture and SOLID principles.
• Basic AWS and Docker knowledge.
• Python is a plus.
• Familiarity with Cursor/Claude AI-assisted development tools.
• Familiarity with Git.

• Expertise in JavaScript (ES6) and Node JS is a must.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• In-depth knowledge of frameworks like Express JS and Restify.
• Experience in building backend services for handling data at a large scale is a must.
• Ability to architect high-availability applications and servers in the cloud, adhering to best practices; microservices architecture is preferable.
• Experience working with MySQL and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB and MongoDB.
• Experience writing complex SQL queries.
• In-depth knowledge of Node JS concepts like the event loop.
• Ability to perform technical deep-dives into code.
• Experience building and deploying GenAI-powered backend services or tools such as prompt routers, embedding search, and RAG pipelines.
• Understanding of communication using WebSockets.
• Good understanding of clean architecture and SOLID principles.
• Basic knowledge of AWS and Docker containerization is preferable.
• Experience in Python is a plus.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude to accelerate development, assist in code reviews, and support efficient coding practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with Git.
