Job summary

ConveGenius Group in India seeks a senior backend lead to design low-latency, scalable services and drive GenAI-powered backend integration. You will oversee delivery, mentor engineers, and collaborate with frontend teams to ensure cohesive systems.

Responsibilities include building high-availability architectures on cloud, guiding microservices, and ensuring code quality through reviews, testing, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of four years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring developers, including work allocation, delivery ownership, and performance feedback.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• In-depth knowledge of frameworks like Express JS and Restify.
• Experience in building backend services for handling data at large scale is a must.
• Ability to architect high-availability applications and servers on cloud adhering to best practices; microservices architecture is preferable.
• Experience working with MySQL and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB and MongoDB.
• Experience with GenAI agentic frameworks is a strong plus.
• In-depth knowledge of Node JS concepts like the event loop.

• Mentor team members through regular one-on-ones, technical guidance, performance feedback, and development planning.
• Plan team capacity and priorities, track delivery commitments, and resolve blockers.
• Support hiring and onboarding of backend developers and establish consistent code-review, testing, and engineering practices across the team.
• Work with AVP Technology to align team priorities with the technology roadmap and communicate delivery progress.

• embedding search, and RAG pipelines
• Understanding of communication using WebSockets
• Good understanding of clean architecture and SOLID principles
• Basic knowledge of AWS and Docker containerization is preferable
• Experience in Python is a plus
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude to accelerate development,
• assist in code reviews, and support efficient coding practices is a plus
