Job summary

AspiringIT is seeking an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper to manage full-cycle bookkeeping for US-based clients. You will handle account reconciliations, cleanup of historical records, preparing adjusting journal entries, and financial reporting, while maintaining accurate workpapers.

The role requires strong Excel skills, familiarity with accrual accounting, prepaids, fixed assets, depreciation, inventory, and COGS, and experience supporting sales tax, payroll, and 1099 processes.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks Online expertise to manage full-cycle bookkeeping for US-based clients. The role involves account reconciliations, cleanup of historical accounting records, preparation of adjusting journal entries, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate workpapers.

The ideal candidate should have experience handling reconciliation backlogs, investigating accounting discrepancies, maintaining general ledger accuracy, and working directly with clients. Strong Excel skills and a solid understanding of accrual accounting, prepaids, fixed assets, depreciation, inventory, and COGS are essential. Experience supporting sales tax, payroll, and 1099 processes is preferred.
