Job summary

ZF Group in Chennai, India, seeks a Specialist - Cyber Security (m/f/d) to lead system-level cybersecurity activities in automotive projects. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, elicit customer requirements, and assess risks across HW/SW artifacts.

Strong knowledge of ISO21434 and UNECE R155 is essential. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in cybersecurity, embedded software experience, and a structured, customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in computer science, electronics, or electrical engineering.
• 3+ years of professional cybersecurity experience.
• Knowledge of automotive cybersecurity standards ISO21434 and UNECE R155.

Responsibilities

• Planning, coordination, execution and monitoring of system-level cybersecurity activities in defined projects with project management.
• Track implementation and ensure timely execution of all cybersecurity activities.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
• Elicit and decompose customer requirements; analyze new complex issues from customers.
• Assess supplier selection for cybersecurity; estimate resources and costs.
• Define and optimise cybersecurity processes for CVS projects.
• Perform threat analysis, risk assessment and review HW/SW design artifacts.

• Planning, coordination, execution and monitoring of all system-level activities related to Cybersecurity in defined projects, in collaboration with the project management
• Tracking of the implementation and ensuring a timely execution of all Cybersecurity relevant activities.
• Coordinate, negotiate with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
• Responsible for elicitation and decomposition of customer requirements, as well as analyzing new complex issues from customers.
• Assessing in supplier selection regarding cyber security. Costing of resources for cybersecurity perimeters and cost estimation.
• Defining, optimizing and adapting processes and methods on Cybersecurity to the concerns of the projects in Division CVS.
• Perform Threat analysis & Risk assessment and review of HW/SW design artifacts (Vulnerability analysis)

Your profile as Specialist - Cyber Security (m/f/d):

• Bachelor`s or master`s degree in computer science, electronics, electrical engineering or a comparable field with 3+ years of professional experience.
• Very good knowledge of Cybersecurity related engineering processes, methods (reverse engineering, cryptography, penetration testing, intrusion detection, etc.), standards and regulations.
• Strong knowledge of automotive Cybersecurity standards and regulations, including ISO21434 and UNECER155, with the ability to apply them effectively in system design and risk assessments.
• Expertise in the field of mechatronics, electronics, embedded software and component testing
• Structured, goal-oriented, and independent way of working, good analytical skills as well as confident and reliable appearance in contact with customers and suppliers
