Job summary

Tata Communications Limited in Mumbai seeks a skilled engineer to provide solutioning support for cloud and security opportunities. You will assist sales with technical bid responses, design high- and low-level solutions, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to architect offerings.

Ideal candidates will have a BE/BTech with 4–8 years of relevant experience, strong RFP exposure, and proficiency in cloud, virtualization, networking, and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering; 4-8 years relevant experience.
• Exposure to RFP cases and business goal mapping to technical requirements.
• Knowledge of High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD).
• Ability to create solutions based on use cases and domain requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools and Visio.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutioning support to sales teams in the region or function.
• Support bid team to prepare responses to technical aspects of RFP.
• Understand pricing mechanisms and support sales team in building commercial inputs.
• Prepare technical sales collateral, quotations, timelines and project plans.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and cross-functional teams to craft solutions.
• Create Use cases and BOQ documents.
• Offer L4 support to Operations for design or engineering issues.
• Conduct POC and demos; design migration plans and support project management.

Broad outline of the Role

• The role is responsible for providing support for solution design, development, and implementation for specific business opportunities in Cloud and Security domain. The incumbent may lead important projects that require providing experienced project team members with instruction, guidance, and advice in all aspects of the project to ensure delivery of quality outcomes. This is an operational role, responsible for delivering results that have a direct impact on solution engineering for the assigned account/business.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in engineering; 4-8 Years relevant experience

Other Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to understand business goals and map to technical requirements.
• Exposure towards working in the RFP cases.
• Knowledge of creating HLD and LLD
• Good understanding of use cases and able to create solutions relating to the use cases.
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, Power point, Visio)
• Understanding of technology and services related to the domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide solutioning support to sales teams in the region or function.
• Support bid team to prepare responses to technical aspects of RFP.
• Understand pricing mechanisms and support sales team in building commercial inputs.
• Preparation of technical sales materials including collateral, quotation, timeline, project plan and solution proposals.
• Work closely with? teams? like Product, Engineering and various cross functional teams to create required solution to enhance the service offering.
• Create Use cases, BOQ documents.
• Provide L4 support to Operations for any design or repeated issues which needs Engineering intervention.
• Conduct POC, demo as per the customer requirements, design migration plans and support project management for generating project implementation plans.
• Conduct periodic session with the identified set of partners to understand new product features that would benefit customers and their product roadmap.

Good Knowledge on -

• Strong experience in Private Cloud architecture, design and solutioning, with a good understanding of the end-to-end infrastructure stack, including:
• Data Center infrastructure and architecture
• Compute/Servers and hardware platforms
• Enterprise Storage and SAN/NAS technologies
• Virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, KVM/OLVM, Nutanix, etc.
• Backup and Recovery solutions
• DC-DR architecture, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
• Database platforms and associated infrastructure requirements
• Kubernetes and container platforms
• Networking and Security infrastructure
• Exposure to Public Cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or GCP would be an added advantage.
