Job summary

Tata Communications Limited in Mumbai is seeking a seasoned Solutions Engineer to support design, development, and implementation for networks, SDWAN, cloud, cybersecurity and AI opportunities. The role involves guiding project teams to deliver quality outcomes and directly influencing solution delivery for key accounts.

You will work with sales, product and engineering teams, develop HLD/LLD, create use cases, conduct POC and demos, and present to CXOs.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with 7–10 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to map business goals to technical requirements.
• Experience with RFP processes and bid responses.
• Experience creating HLD/LLD and use-case based solutions.
• Proficient with MS Office tools: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutioning support to regional sales teams.
• Assist bid teams with technical responses to RFPs.
• Prepare technical sales collateral, timelines, project plans, and proposals.
• Engage CXOs and drive executive level conversations.
• Present to large forums and collaborate with Product/Engineering and cross-functional teams.
• Create use cases and BOQ documents.
• Conduct POC and demos as per customer requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (CFT).

Broad outline of the Role

• The role is responsible for providing support for solution design, development, and implementation for specific business opportunities in the respective areas of Network, SDWAN, Cloud, cybersecurity and AI domains. The incumbent may lead important projects that require providing experienced project team members with instruction, guidance, and advice in all aspects of the project to ensure delivery of quality outcomes. This is an operational role, responsible for delivering results that have a direct impact on solution engineering for the assigned account/business.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in engineering; 7-10 Years relevant experience

Other Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to understand business goals and map to technical requirements.
• Exposure towards working in the RFP cases.
• Knowledge of creating HLD and LLD
• Good understanding of use cases and able to create solutions relating to the use cases.
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, Power point, Visio)
• Understanding of technology and services related to the domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide solutioning support to sales teams in the region or function.
• Support bid team to prepare responses to technical aspects of RFP.
• Preparation of technical sales materials including collateral, quotation, timeline, project plan and solution proposals.
