Job summary

Videojet Technologies in Chennai is seeking a Sr. Service Engineer to deliver on-site service, installation, preventive maintenance, and repair across the region. You will train customers and promote service contracts and consumables to grow service revenue.

You will diagnose issues, perform corrective actions, raise spare part requests, and generate leads for upgrades while maintaining service records in Oracle. Travel will be extensive within the region.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Engineering degree required.
• 3+ years in field service or technical service roles.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and customer handling skills.
• Familiarity with the local language.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
• Regional language proficiency in Tamil and Telugu.

Responsibilities

• Attend and resolve customer equipment breakdowns within the assigned region.
• Install, commission, and maintain Videojet equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance as per defined schedules.
• Diagnose technical issues and provide corrective actions.
• Raise spare part requests and close service transactions under warranty, CAMP, or chargeable services.
• Promote service contracts and consumables to customers.
• Conduct product demonstrations and provide operator-level customer training.
• Prepare and update service reports in Oracle.
• Identify potential spare parts and equipment requirements, submit quotations, and collect purchase orders.
• Generate service leads for the sales team related to equipment upgrades or replacements.
