Job summary

Hwcc India is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Hyderabad to lead measurement, billing, cost control and contract management on medium to large projects. You will prepare BOQs, verify site quantities, monitor budgets and assist in forecasting while coordinating with clients and site teams.

Ideal candidates have strong experience in site measurements, tender support, and proficient use of QS tools such as Procore or Buildxact, along with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare & check BOQ, RA bills; measure site quantities for client billing; ensure accuracy in itemization, rates, and measurements.
• Track project costs vs budget; flag cost overruns; prepare cost reports and variation analysis; support forecasts.
• Interpret contract terms; handle variations, claims, and EOT; coordinate with clients/consultants on contractual issues.
• Liaise with site engineers on material reconciliation; verify site measurements; attend site meetings.
• Prepare BOQs for tenders; assist in bid analysis; coordinate with estimators.
• Prepare project cost reports; maintain records of measurements, variations, approvals.

Roles & Responsibilities for a Sr. Quantity Surveyor (QS)

1. Quantity Measurement & Billing

• Prepare & check bills of quantities (BOQ), RA bills
• Measure & verify site quantities for client billing
• Ensure accuracy in itemization, rates, and measurements

2. Cost Control & Budgeting

• Track project costs vs budget; flag cost overruns
• Prepare cost reports, variation analysis
• Support in preparing project financial forecasts

3. Contract Management

• Interpret contract terms; ensure compliance
• Handle variations, claims, and extensions of time (EOT)
• Coordinate with clients/consultants on contractual issues

4. Site Coordination

• Liaise with site engineers on material reconciliation
• Verify site measurements for accuracy
• Attend site meetings, review progress vs plans

5. Tendering Support

• Prepare BOQs for tenders; assist in bid analysis
• Coordinate with estimators on cost inputs

6. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare project cost reports, status updates
• Maintain records of measurements, variations, approvals
