Job summary

CSS India Center is seeking a Senior QA Engineer / Test Lead to drive QA strategy, end-to-end testing, and metrics across multiple apps. You will mentor the QA team, collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers in Agile/Scrum settings to ensure high quality releases.

You will design test plans, execute manual testing across Web, Mobile, and API layers, manage defects, and present release readiness using QA dashboards and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Expertise in test planning, defect management, bug tracking, and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer / Test Lead to lead quality assurance initiatives across multiple applications and projects. The ideal candidate will define QA strategies, drive end-to-end testing activities, mentor QA team members, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

QA Leadership & Test Management

• Define and implement QA strategies, test plans, estimations, schedules, and execution across multiple projects and releases.
• Lead QA activities, review test artifacts, monitor testing progress, identify risks, and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and drive continuous quality improvements.

Manual Testing & Quality Assurance

• Analyse business and functional requirements to design comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System, UAT, API, Web, and Mobile testing.
• Execute test cases, manage the defect lifecycle, perform root cause analysis, and ensure complete requirement traceability.
• Support production validation, post-release testing, and maintain quality metrics and test documentation.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and Project Managers in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Present testing status, release readiness, and quality metrics to leadership.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) to improve testing efficiency and productivity.

Reporting & Metrics

• Prepare test execution reports, dashboards, and quality KPIs, including Defect Leakage, Defect Density, Test Execution Progress, Requirement Coverage, Automation Coverage, and Release Quality Metrics.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in manual testing across Web, Mobile, and APIs.
• Expertise in test planning, defect management, bug tracking, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
