Position: Lead QA Tester

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Test Engineer to lead testing efforts across our software products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing testing activities, ensuring product quality, mentoring team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and defect-free software.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage software testing activities throughout the development lifecycle.
  Create and execute test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts based on business requirements.
  Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, System, API, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
  Collaborate with Product, Development, and Business teams to clarify requirements and ensure quality standards.
  Review requirements and provide feedback from a quality perspective.
  Coordinate testing efforts across multiple projects and releases.
  Conduct root cause analysis for defects and production issues.
  Mentor and guide QA team members on testing best practices.
  Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, methodologies, and quality standards.
  Support release validation and post-release verification activities.
  Prepare and share testing status reports and quality metrics with stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  4-5 years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
  Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  Experience with web, mobile, and API testing.
  Hands‑on experience with defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira, ClickUp.
  Strong knowledge of test case design techniques and defect management processes.
  Basic understanding of SQL and database testing.
  Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
  Experience in FinTech, Payments, E‑commerce, or SaaS products.
  Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman.
  Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.
  ISTQB certification is an added advantage.
