Purpose of the Job
The purpose of the Senior Project Manager (AI Transformation) role is to work together with SBG leaders and AI evangelists in HTCS to implement and adopt AI tools across HTCS, and to lead a structured upskilling initiative that builds a strong AI culture, defines and enables key AI roles, and delivers role‑based AI trainings across all job levels. The role partners closely with SBG Engineering leaders, HR leaders, and cross‑functional stakeholders to translate the AI transformation roadmap into measurable business outcomes, sustainable operating rhythms, and scaled change adoption.
Job Description
The Senior Project Manager (AI Transformation) will lead HTCS AI transformation initiatives, govern program activities, and drive adoption of AI tools. The role will oversee the end‑to‑end AI upskilling program, enable talent development and change management, and coordinate cross‑functional readiness and governance.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the HTCS AI Transformation program plan (scope, milestones, budget/benefits, dependencies, risks, and change impacts) and establish governance cadence.
- Drive implementation and scaled adoption of priority AI tools within HTCS (e.g., copilots, knowledge assistants, automation, analytics/ML solutions), ensuring alignment to business problems, data/security requirements, and user needs.
- Build and maintain a prioritized AI use‑case portfolio with SBG Engineering and HTCS function leaders; define value hypotheses, success metrics, and realization tracking.
- Lead the HTCS AI upskilling program end‑to‑end: training needs assessment, role‑based curricula, learning pathways, communications, learning logistics, completion tracking, and effectiveness measurement.
- Partner with HR/L&D to define AI capability frameworks and key AI roles across HTCS and embed them into talent processes.
- Establish and run change management and communications to build AI culture and drive engagement across all job levels.
- Coordinate cross‑functional readiness for AI deployments (IT, Cybersecurity, Legal, Data Privacy, Procurement, Finance) including access models, data governance, responsible AI controls, and operational support models.
- Develop standard processes and templates for AI use‑case intake, evaluation, delivery, and scaling.
- Facilitate alignment between HTCS and SBG Engineering leaders on priorities, resourcing, and decision‑making; prepare executive‑level materials (status, risks, decisions required, benefits realized).
- Track and report program health and adoption outcomes using dashboards and drive corrective actions.
- Ensure knowledge transfer and long‑term sustainment by establishing an AI community network and documenting standards.
Geographic Scope & Travel Requirements
The position is based in Bangalore, India, and may require occasional travel to other HTCS and SBG Engineering locations globally as required.
Qualifications
Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Master’s degree (MBA/MS) is a plus.
- Project/Program Management certification (PMP/PRINCE2/Agile) preferred. AI/ML, data analytics, or cloud certifications are a strong advantage.
Work Experience Required
10+ years of experience managing complex transformation programs and cross‑functional initiatives in a matrix environment, including strong exposure to digital/AI enablement, technology adoption, and organizational change.
Experience Essential In
- Program/project management for enterprise‑scale deployments.
- Driving adoption of technology products/tools (user journeys, change management, training enablement, and communications).
- Working knowledge of AI concepts and tooling (GenAI, copilots, prompt practices, automation, data/analytics).
- Stakeholder management and executive communication, including steering committee facilitation and decision documentation.
- Operating in environments with strong governance expectations and experience coordinating approvals and controls.
- Benefits realization and KPI tracking for transformation outcomes (productivity, quality, cycle time, cost, and user adoption).
Experience Not Essential But Desirable
- Experience with learning design/academy programs, communities of practice, or enterprise capability building initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated delivery of digital/AI initiatives from concept through rollout, including adoption and sustainment.
- Strong facilitation and storytelling skills to simplify AI concepts for non‑technical audiences and influence leaders.
- Hands‑on proficiency with common productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., MS 365) and familiarity with AI enablement tools/workflows.
