Job Purpose

Senior Principal Application Architect within Enterprise Architecture will lead the development of architecture blueprints, support Solution Architects, and work with technology and business partners to design strategies, multi‑year roadmaps, reference architecture, patterns and standards that support business domains. The role also involves defining target‑state architectures that enable scale, resilience, and data integrity while ensuring alignment to long‑term enterprise strategy, and acting as a thought leader and mentor to advance architectural maturity.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate EA engagement across application architecture domains including Investments, Distribution and Corporate.
Build and maintain application architecture strategies, reference architectures and architecture roadmaps.
Establish application architecture patterns and standards for web, batch, event‑driven, serverless, containerized applications, domain APIs and microservices.
Review and approve architecture solutions via EA governance to ensure strategic alignment, avoid technology debt and comply with architecture principles.
Support the solution architecture community.
Collaborate with domain solution architects and cloud team on cloud application migration strategy.
Provide hands‑on support for PoCs to evaluate new technologies and usage patterns.

Work Experience / Knowledge

Respected experience in an architecture role supporting application architecture in sophisticated enterprise environments.
Experience with application design and development on one or more cloud platforms.
Experience drafting and institutionalizing architecture patterns and standards.
Good business understanding of financial services, distribution and asset management.
Proficient in architecture modeling using Archimate.
Experience developing software applications in multiple programming languages and technology platforms.
Experience designing and developing APIs.
Experience with DevSecOps technologies, processes and practices.

Formal Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

License / Registration / Certification

Preferred certified TOGAF. Preferred vendor certifications from AWS or Microsoft Azure.

Workplace Model

Full‑time employee. Employees are required to work in a designated office at least three days a week, and may work outside the office two days per week, in accordance with the workplace policy.
