Job summary

TYPSA India is seeking a Senior Principal Architect to lead design and delivery for major airports, railways, metro and large-scale buildings in India. The role requires 20+ years of experience and strong international project exposure, with BIM and Revit expertise to drive integrated design.

The successful candidate will mentor the architectural team, coordinate with Civil, Structural, MEP and BIM consultants, manage client relations and ensure adherence to international standards and QA/QC

Qualifications

• Must hold B.Arch / M.Arch or equivalent with 20+ years’ architecture experience.
• Proven track record on international airport, rail, metro or large-scale buildings.
• Expertise in BIM and Revit; strong QA/QC and design coordination.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and client management.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and delivery from concept through detailed design, tender and construction stages.
• Provide technical and design leadership on major airport, railway, metro and building projects.

About the Role

TYPSA is looking for an experienced Senior Principal Architect with 20+ years of professional experience to lead the design and delivery of major Airport, Railway, Metro and large-scale Building projects.

The role requires strong international project experience, BIM knowledge, leadership capability and the ability to manage clients, multidisciplinary teams, resources and design quality.

Senior Principal Architect – Transport Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and delivery from concept through detailed design, tender and construction stages.
• Provide technical and design leadership on major Airport, Railway, Metro and Building projects.
• Lead and mentor architects and manage the day-to-day activities of the architectural team.
• Plan resources, allocate workloads and monitor team performance against project requirements and deadlines.
• Coordinate with Civil, Structural, MEP, BIM, Rail/Metro Systems and specialist consultants to ensure fully integrated designs.
• Manage communication with clients, consultants, authorities and other stakeholders.
• Lead design reviews, presentations, workshops and technical meetings.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications and BIM models and provide technical direction where required.
• Ensure projects meet international standards, applicable codes, client requirements and agreed quality procedures.
• Identify design, coordination and delivery issues and work with the team to resolve them.
• Support tenders, technical proposals and client presentations as required.
• Promote good design practices, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the architecture team.

Requirements

• B.Arch / M.Arch or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 20+ years of professional architectural experience.
• Strong project experience in one or more of the following: Airports, Railways, Metro/MRT and large-scale buildings.
• Proven experience working on international projects and with international clients and consultants.
• Experience leading architectural teams and managing multidisciplinary design coordination.
• Good working knowledge of BIM and Revit.
• Experience in resource planning, design management and QA/QC.
• Good understanding of relevant international standards, codes and design practices.
• Strong communication, presentation, coordination and problem-solving skills.
