Job summary

Delhi Integrated Multi Modal Transit System (DIMTS) seeks an experienced architect to lead design for large-scale transit developments. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams and ensure architectural quality from concept through construction drawings, coordinating with clients and agencies.

A COA registration and 12+ years of architectural experience are essential, with strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and Sketch-Up and exposure to BIM workflows. Government project experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional architectural experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B. Arch) from a recognized institution.
• Registered with the Council of Architecture (COA), India.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead architectural design and project delivery for large-scale and complex developments.
• Manage projects through the complete lifecycle, from concept and schematic design to GFC drawings and construction.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams comprising architects, structural, MEP, landscape and other specialist consultants.
• Review, coordinate and approve architectural drawings, specifications, materials and construction details.
• Ensure design intent, technical standards, quality and project requirements are maintained throughout execution.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, government authorities and other project stakeholders.
• Conduct design reviews, constructability assessments and technical coordination meetings.
• Monitor architectural deliverables, schedules and design progress against project milestones.
• Prepare and review tender drawings, BOQs, specifications and technical documentation.
• Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining design quality and functionality.
• Coordinate site inspections, resolve architectural and technical issues, and provide timely design clarifications.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples and mock-ups.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, NBC, fire and accessibility requirements and relevant statutory regulations.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior and mid-level architects and design teams.
• Identify design risks and coordinate their resolution in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
• Support project management teams in achieving quality, cost and schedule objectives.

Preferred candidate profile

• 12+ years of professional architectural experience, preferably in large-scale projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B. Arch) from a recognized institution.
• Registered with the Council of Architecture (COA), India.
• Strong experience in one or more of the following sectors: Metro Rail / Transportation Infrastructure
• Demonstrated experience in architectural design management and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, materials, specifications and architectural detailing.
• Experience working with government agencies, public-sector organizations, EPC contractors and large consultant teams will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up and related architectural/design software.
• Exposure to BIM coordination and digital design workflows.
• Excellent communication, presentation, coordination and stakeholder-management skills.
