Job summary

Brigade Group is seeking a seasoned Finishing Works Lead to oversee all finishing trades on site in Chennai. You will coordinate masonry, plastering, flooring, painting, glazing, ceilings, and external works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, quality standards, and schedules.

Responsibilities include QA/QC, snagging, client and consultant liaison, handover, safety, and cost/resource control to deliver defect-free projects on time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all finishing activities including masonry, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, painting, joinery, façade, glazing, false ceiling, and external development works.
• Ensure execution of finishing works as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
• Coordinate with MEP, QA/QC, Design, and Planning teams for seamless project execution.
• Monitor daily progress and ensure adherence to project schedules and milestones.
• Implement quality assurance measures for all finishing trades.
• Conduct regular inspections and snagging reviews to ensure defect-free delivery.
• Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards and statutory requirements.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors involved in finishing activities.
• Review work progress, productivity, and resource deployment.
• Certify contractor bills and monitor material consumption.
• Liaise with architects, consultants, and clients for approvals, inspections, and issue resolution.
• Ensure timely closure of technical queries and site-related concerns.
• Lead snag rectification and handover activities.
• Ensure timely completion of punch-list items and customer satisfaction.
• Support maintenance and defect liability period requirements.
• Monitor finishing budgets and optimize resource utilization.
• Identify value engineering opportunities without compromising quality.
• Track productivity and minimize rework.
• Ensure adherence to EHS standards and company safety policies.
• Maintain statutory and project documentation.
