Job summary

RightHire Mumbai seeks a Sr Manager – Projects (Electricals/HVAC) for its Mumbai office (Sewri). You will lead end-to-end electrical project execution for data center infra, ensuring on-time installation, testing and commissioning per designs, schedules, budgets, quality and safety.

Responsibilities include site leadership, coordination with design, procurement and subcontractors, resource planning, progress tracking and client liaison to ensure reliable delivery of critical electrical systems.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10–15 years of electrical project execution experience, preferably in data center projects.
• Experience in HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, UPS, batteries, busducts, cabling, earthing and lighting.
• Ability to manage project schedules, cost control, manpower planning and subcontractor performance.
• Experience in client coordination, progress reporting and resolution of site execution challenges.

Weve been retained by leading EPC specialist focusing on end-to-end data center solutions to fulfil its manpower requirements. And currently, were scouting for Sr Manager – Projects (Electricals/ HVAC) to be based out at its corporate office, Mumbai (Sewri).

Role Purpose

To lead and manage end-to-end electrical project execution for data center infrastructure, ensuring timely completion of electrical installation, testing and commissioning activities in line with approved designs, project schedules, budgets, quality standards and safety requirements. The role will oversee site execution, engineering coordination, procurement interfaces, subcontractor management, resource planning and client coordination to ensure reliable and efficient delivery of critical electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Project Execution: Lead end-to-end execution of electrical works, from mobilization and installation through testing, commissioning and final handover.
• Electrical Infrastructure: Manage installation and execution of HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, UPS, batteries, busducts, electrical panels, cabling, earthing, lighting and power distribution systems.
• Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop execution plans, monitor project progress against milestones and implement corrective actions to prevent delays.
• Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project expenditure, material consumption, productivity, resource utilization and subcontractor costs to ensure budget adherence.
• Engineering Coordination: Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, QA/QC, commissioning and site teams to resolve technical issues and ensure execution as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with clients, consultants, PMC teams, vendors and subcontractors to address technical queries, review progress and ensure timely deliverables.
• Contract & Subcontractor Management: Monitor subcontractor performance, contractual scope, work orders, variations, billing and execution deliverables.
• Resource Planning: Plan and deploy electrical engineers, supervisors, technicians, manpower, materials and equipment in line with project requirements.
• Testing & Commissioning: Oversee electrical testing, pre-commissioning, functional testing, system integration and commissioning activities in coordination with specialist teams.
• Quality, Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to technical specifications, inspection and test plans, quality standards, EHS requirements and applicable statutory regulations.
• Team Leadership: Lead electrical project engineers, site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors, ensuring productivity, accountability and timely execution.
• Documentation & Handover: Ensure completion of inspection records, test reports, as-built drawings, snag closure and final project handover documentation.

Candidate Profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of experience in electrical project execution, preferably in data center projects.
• Strong experience in executing large-scale electrical infrastructure and power distribution systems.
• Sound understanding of HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, UPS, battery systems, busducts, electrical panels, cabling, earthing and lighting.
• Experience in electrical installation, testing, commissioning and project handover.
• Ability to manage project schedules, cost control, manpower planning, material coordination and subcontractor performance.
• Experience in client coordination, technical discussions, progress reporting and resolution of site execution challenges.
• Knowledge of electrical drawings, method statements, inspection and test plans, quality procedures and safety requirements.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, planning and coordination skills.

Preferred Industry Experience

• First preference: Data Center EPC / MEP contractors with hands-on electrical project execution experience.
• Experience in mission-critical facilities, critical power infrastructure and high-availability electrical systems.
• Candidates from industrial EPC, commercial infrastructure or large-scale electrical projects may be considered if they have strong execution and commissioning experience.
