Job summary

RightHire Mumbai is seeking a seasoned AGM/GM for Data Center Projects to lead end-to-end delivery from Sewri, Mumbai. The role focuses on Electrical, HVAC and MEP execution, with accountability for budgets, scheduling and client relations.

The candidate will oversee project leadership, risk management and ensure successful IST, testing, commissioning and handover for mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience leading end-to-end data center project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Electrical, HVAC and MEP systems and project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data center project delivery with emphasis on Electrical, HVAC and MEP execution.
• Drive budget forecasting, cost control and contract management to ensure profitability.
• Manage client relationships and coordinate with PMCs, subcontractors and engineering teams.
• Oversee risk management, scheduling, quality, safety and handover.
• Ensure IST, commissioning and final handover meet project specifications.

We've been retained by an EPC specialist company focusing on end-to-end data center solutions to fulfil its manpower requirements. And currently, were scouting for AGM / GM - Data Center Projects to be based out at its corporate office, Mumbai (Sewri). Experience: 10 - 25 Years

Working Days: 6 Days a Week

Working hours: 10: 30 AM to 6: 30 PM

1. Role Purpose

To lead end-to-end data Center project delivery, with primary expertise in Electrical Engineering and overall responsibility for Electrical, HVAC and MEP execution. The role will drive project leadership, planning, cost and contract management, client relationships, resource optimization, quality, safety, testing and commissioning, ensuring timely and profitable project delivery.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership & Delivery: Lead end-to-end data center project execution, ensuring timely delivery, quality, safety and achievement of project milestones.
• MEP Execution: Drive integrated Electrical, HVAC and MEP execution, ensuring seamless coordination across engineering, installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Budget & Cost Control: Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, cash flow, resource utilization and cost optimization to achieve project profitability.
• Client Management: Act as the key point of contact for clients, consultants and PMC teams, ensuring alignment on project progress, technical requirements and deliverables.
• Contract Management: Oversee contractual obligations, scope management, variations, claims, subcontractor performance and commercial risks.
• Resource Planning: Plan and mobilize manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractors in line with project schedules and execution requirements.
• Risk Management: Identify project risks, resolve critical execution challenges and implement mitigation plans to minimize delays, cost overruns and quality issues.
• Data Center Project Delivery: Ensure successful delivery of mission-critical infrastructure, including electrical power systems, HVAC and cooling systems, integrated systems testing (IST), commissioning and final handover.
• Quality, Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, EHS requirements and applicable statutory regulations.
• Team Leadership: Lead project managers and multidisciplinary engineering and site teams, driving accountability, productivity and execution excellence.

3. Candidate Profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in Electrical / MEP project execution, preferably in large-scale data center projects.
• Strong experience in leading end-to-end project delivery, including engineering coordination, installation, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Proven capability to lead multidisciplinary teams covering Electrical, HVAC and other MEP services.
• Strong understanding of data center electrical infrastructure, including HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, UPS, batteries, busducts, electrical panels and associated distribution systems.
• Working knowledge of HVAC and cooling infrastructure, including chillers, CRAH/CRAC systems, chilled water systems and associated MEP interfaces.
• Experience in project planning, budgeting, cost control, contract administration, client management and subcontractor management.
• Exposure to integrated systems testing (IST), commissioning protocols, redundancy architecture and mission-critical infrastructure.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, commercial acumen and problem-solving skills.

4. Preferred Industry Experience

• First preference: Data Center EPC / MEP project execution.
• Experience in mission-critical facilities and high-availability infrastructure.
• Candidates with experience in large-scale commercial or industrial EPC projects may be considered if they demonstrate strong Electrical leadership and multidisciplinary MEP execution capabilities.
