Job summary

Samvith Technologies in Bengaluru (Dabaspet) seeks a Sr. Manager Production - Machining to lead fabrication, welding, machining and assembly operations.

You will plan schedules, drive on-time delivery and implement Lean/5S/Kaizen on the shop floor. The role requires 13–18 years of experience in heavy fabrication environments, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of fabrication processes, quality systems and safety standards.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical degree or equivalent.
• 13–18 years of experience in production management.
• Experience in fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly.
• Knowledge of QMS (ISO) and Lean manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day production activities for fabrication, welding, machining and assembly operations.
• Plan and execute production schedules based on sales/dispatch plan.
• Ensure on-time delivery through effective planning and execution.
• Drive productivity improvements, reduce downtime and waste.
• Maintain strict quality standards and adherence to QMS (ISO).
• Implement Lean, 5S and Kaizen on the shop floor.
• Coordinate with design, planning, procurement and quality teams.
• Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of production equipment.
• Monitor manpower, allocate work, ensure discipline and safety.
• Provide training to workforce for skill upgradation and safety.
• Analyse production data, prepare MIS and report to management.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and capacity constraints.
• Ensure safety, environmental and statutory compliance.
• Strong technical knowledge of fabrication processes (cutting, bending, welding, machining).
• Knowledge of fabrication standards, tolerances and inspection techniques.
