Job summary

Divine Engineering Services Pvt Ltd. seeks a hands-on Operations Supervisor to oversee yesterday's work reviews, perform Gemba walks, and coordinate with multiple departments on the shop floor.

You will lead daily planning, resolve issues promptly, update clients and management on project status, and ensure quality by partnering with the QC team. Regular meetings with senior staff will drive continuous improvement and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical degree required or equivalent.
• Experience coordinating multi-department projects on shop floor preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

2. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cross-Checking of Yesterday's Work:

• Review Completed Tasks: Verify that all tasks from the previous day were completed correctly and thoroughly.
• Identify Issues: Note any discrepancies or incomplete tasks and prepare to address them.

Gemba Walking:

• On-Site Inspection: Perform Gemba walks to observe work processes on the shop floor, ensuring that operations are running smoothly.
• Engage with Workers: Interact with employees to understand their challenges and gather feedback for improvement.

Hardial Meeting (10 Minutes):

• Quick Check-In: Conduct a brief Hardial meeting to discuss immediate priorities, any pressing issues, and daily goals.
• Set Focus: Align the team on key focus areas for the day.

Problem Resolution:

• Identify Problems: Quickly identify any problems or roadblocks during the day.
• Implement Solutions: Work on resolving these issues promptly to maintain workflow continuity.

Team Coordination:

• Communicate Plans: Coordinate with team members to ensure everyone is informed about their tasks and responsibilities.
• Support and Guidance: Provide support and guidance as needed to facilitate smooth operations.

Review Meeting for Job Status (Deadline):

• Status Update: Hold a review meeting to check the status of ongoing jobs and ensure deadlines are being met.
• Adjust Plans: Make adjustments to plans or resource allocation as necessary to stay on track.

New Project Review:

• Project Assessment: Review new projects to understand scope, requirements, and timelines.
• Resource Planning: Plan resource allocation and task assignments for new projects.

Internal Meeting with Kapil Bhai/Mathan Bhai:

• Discuss Operations: Meet with Kapil Bhai to discuss ongoing operations, issues, and manpower allocation.
• Strategize Solutions: Collaborate on strategies to optimize workflow and resolve any existing problems.
• Monitor Progress: Regularly check the status of work on the floor to ensure tasks are progressing as planned.
• Ensure Compliance: Ensure all work is being done according to set standards and procedures.

Manpower Allocation and material availability:

• Discuss Requirements: After discussing with others incharge, allocate manpower and material based on current project needs and workload.
• Optimize Resources: Ensure optimal use of available resources for maximum efficiency.

Technical Planning:

• Plan Technical Aspects: Develop detailed technical plans for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Coordinate Implementation: Ensure that technical plans are understood and implemented correctly by the team.

Address Incomplete Jobs:

• Identify Incomplete Tasks: Identify any tasks that were not completed as expected.
• Discuss and Resolve: Discuss reasons for incomplete tasks and plan necessary steps to complete them.

Client Coordination for Project Status:

• Update Clients: Communicate with clients to provide updates on project status and progress.
• Address Concerns: Address any client concerns promptly to maintain good relationships and project satisfaction.

Coordination with QC Department:

• Ensure Quality: Work closely with the QC department to ensure all quality checks are thorough and accurate.
• Obtain QC Reports: Ensure timely receipt of QC reports to validate product quality before proceeding.

Cross-Department Coordination:

• Align Departments: Coordinate with heads of QC, machine shop, Painting and other departments to align on project goals and ensure smooth inter-departmental collaboration.
• Owner Communication: Keep the owner informed about major developments, issues, and project statuses.
