About the Role
We are looking for a Sr. Maintenance Executive to ensure the reliability, availability, and efficient operation of plant machinery, utilities, and equipment. The role will focus on preventive maintenance, breakdown management, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of maintenance systems.
- Manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and utility-related breakdowns.
- Ensure maximum machine availability and minimize downtime and maintenance losses.
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely closure.
- Coordinate with Production for maintenance activities with minimum operational disruption.
- Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, MTBF, MTTR, and equipment history.
- Manage critical spares and coordinate with MRO Purchase and Stores for availability.
- Coordinate with external vendors for equipment servicing, repairs, and AMC activities.
- Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new machinery and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety, SOPs, 5S, and maintenance standards.
- Identify recurring failures and implement root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Drive maintenance improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
Preferred Background
- 5-8 years of experience in plant maintenance, preferably in cosmetics, FMCG, pharma, chemical, or manufacturing.
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / related engineering field.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Experience with production machinery, utilities, pumps, compressors, HVAC, conveyors, and automation systems.
- Knowledge of PLC, VFD, sensors, pneumatics, and basic instrumentation will be preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with CMMS/ERP/SAP will be an advantage.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to utility systems and preventive maintenance planning.
- Experience in handling maintenance teams and external contractors.
- Strong understanding of RCA, TPM, 5S, Kaizen, MTBF, and MTTR.
