CenturyPly is seeking a procurement professional to manage stores and spares, including MRO items, against PRs from various user departments. The role involves issuing RFQs, evaluating quotations, and negotiating terms to ensure best value.

Key duties include PO creation, on-time delivery follow-up, coordination with Stores, Maintenance, Production and Accounts, as well as maintaining procurement MIS and documentation. Prior SAP MM exposure is preferred.

• Experience in supplier negotiations and price comparisons.
• GST, freight and payment terms understanding is preferred.

Role & responsibilities

• Procurement of Stores & Spares / MRO items against PRs raised by user departments
• Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and general maintenance spares
• Consumables, bearings, motors, pumps, valves, gearboxes, electrical items, hardware, tools, safety items, etc.
• Floating RFQs/enquiries and obtaining competitive quotations
• Technical and commercial comparison of quotations in coordination with user departments
• Vendor identification, development and negotiation
• Price negotiation and finalization of commercial terms
• PO preparation/release and follow-up for timely delivery
• Coordination with Stores, Maintenance, Production and Accounts
• Follow-up of pending PRs/POs and urgent/breakdown requirements
• Basic understanding of GST, freight, payment terms and other commercial conditions
• Experience in SAP Purchase Module (MM) is preferred
• Maintaining proper procurement documentation and MIS
