Job summary

Amneal Pharmaceuticals Ahmedabad is seeking a Sr. Executive / Assistant Manager in the Supply Chain Excellence team to develop and manage supply plans ensuring product availability while maintaining inventory targets.

You will collaborate with Marketing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics and Finance to optimize planning, drive S&OP, and monitor KPIs such as OTIF, DIO, and inventory turns. 10-12 years experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters in relevant fields (SCEx/Pharma)
• Experience in supply chain planning and analytics preferred

Responsibilities

• Supply planning: develop short‑ and long‑term supply plans based on demand, capacity, inventory, and business needs.
• Inventory management: optimize inventory across raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods; monitor DIO and turns.
• S&OP: prepare planning reports, capacity analyses, and risk mitigation plans; support consensus reviews.
• Production & procurement planning: coordinate with manufacturing and procurement for material availability and lead times.
• Analytics & performance monitoring: track KPIs such as forecast accuracy, OTIF, inventory levels, and capacity utilization; produce dashboards.
• Cross-functional collaboration: work with Commercial, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Customer Service; support launches and promotions.

Job Purpose

• The Supply Chain Planner is responsible for developing and managing supply plans to ensure optimal product availability while maintaining inventory targets and service levels. The role collaborates cross-functionally with Marketing, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Finance teams to drive efficient planning processes and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Supply Planning
• Develop short-term and long-term supply plans based on demand forecasts, production capacity, inventory levels, and business requirements.
• Review demand forecasts and align supply plans to achieve target customer service levels.
• Analyze demand variability and recommend corrective actions to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory.
• Monitor supply constraints and proactively mitigate risks through scenario planning.
• Inventory Management
• Drive inventory optimization initiatives across raw materials, packaging materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
• Monitor inventory KPIs including Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO), inventory turns, slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
• Ensure inventory levels are aligned with business targets and working capital objectives.
• Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
• Prepare supply chain planning reports, capacity analysis, and risk mitigation plans.
• Support consensus demand and supply reviews with key stakeholders.
• Production & Procurement Planning
• Coordinate with manufacturing plants and procurement teams to ensure material availability.
• Develop production and replenishment plans considering capacity constraints and lead times.
• Analytics & Performance Monitoring
• Track and analyze key supply chain KPIs such as:
• Forecast Accuracy
• Service Level (OTIF)
• Inventory Months on hand
• Capacity Utilization
• Supply Plan Adherence
• Generate regular dashboards and management reports for SLT/MRM.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Commercial, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Customer Service teams.
• Support new product launches, phase-ins, phase-outs, and promotional planning activities.
• Lead or participate in supply chain improvement projects

1-2 persons will report to this position.
