Responsibilities

• Assist in production planning by running weekly sequencing plan and ensure executable plan for manufacturing, packing and dispatch.
• Monitor production and dispatch performance; resolve issues to meet schedules.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, warehouse and quality control to ensure materials are available for execution of production plans.
• Ensure new product launch and registration batches actions and timelines are met.
• Daily review of performance with production teams to control schedules.
• Oversee WIP and raw materials inventory to avoid production stoppages.
• Coordinate with corporate planning and procurement to resolve supply chain issues.
• Identify and liquidate non-moving inventory.

Job Responsibilities / Deliverables Production Planning

• Assist in production planning by running weekly sequencing plan and ensure a proper executable plan for manufacturing and packing and dispatch.


• Monitor production performance and dispatch performance to ensure that performance is met. Resolving issues to ensure schedules are followed and evolve issues beyond control.


• Collaborate with procurement, production, warehouse and quality control teams and ensure that materials are available for execution of production plans. This includes prioritization of quality control testing and follow up on release of raw materials and packing materials.


• Ensure that new product launch and registration batches actions and timelines are met.


• Daily review of performance with production teams to ensure tight control on schedules.

Inventory Management

Oversee and manage work in process inventory as well as raw materials/ packing materials to ensure production runs are not hampered. Ensuring planning and material call ups for plant controlled inventory items like excipients and shippers

Resolve any supply chain issues like shortages or delays by coordination with Corporate planning and procurement teams

Ensure low level of non moving inventory. Also responsible for identification and coordination for liquidation of non moving inventory

Documentation & Improvements

• Monitor and review delivery metrics on daily/ weekly/ monthly basis


• Ensure production orders are available in SAP system


• Analyze performance for plant OTIF and suggests improvements to improve service levels

Qualifications & Pre-Requisites

• Graduate in pharmacy or worked in a pharmaceutical supply chain


• Total experience of 5+ years in production planning and inventory control.
