Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to understand the system and working principle of vehicle subsystems and components. You will assess DFMEA/IFMEA/PFMEA and use 8QC tools to solve problems and improve quality.

The role requires preparing development time plans for systems and components and performing failure analysis during development and in the field, including elastomer-related failures.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in automotive systems.
• Experience with DFMEA/IFMEA/PFMEA and quality tools.

Responsibilities

• Understand vehicle systems, subsystems, components and their principles.
• Perform DFMEA, IFMEA, PFMEA and standard tests in DVP.
• Apply 8QC tools for problem solving and quality improvement.
• Contribute to joint integrity design and analysis.
• Prepare development time plans for system and component.
• Conduct failure analysis during development and in the field.
• Understand elastomers and their failure modes.
