Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited seeks a senior professional to oversee part development from initial design to final production, ensuring quality across the lifecycle and driving cost management and supplier relationships. With 15–18 years of experience and BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech, you will apply APQP, risk assessment, design reviews, and project management to meet timelines and targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end part development from initial design to final production.
• Lead APQP activities and ensure alignment with quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Coordinate with R&D, design teams and suppliers to review feasibility and capacity.
• Develop risk mitigation plans and maintain project MIS for reporting.

Part De velopment:Managing the entire process of part de velopment, from initial de sign to final production.

Quality Assurance:Ensuring that parts meet quality standards throughout the de velopment and production lifecycle.

Cost Management:Working to achieve QCD (Quality, Cost, and De livery) targets for all new products and improvements to existing products.

Supplier Management: De veloping and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring their capacity and adherence to timelines.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

Manufacturing Processes:

De ep understanding ofelectronics partsmanufacturing processes and mechanicalcomponents.

Materials:

Knowledge of various material grades and their suitability for specific applications in gear and shaft manufacturing.

De livery:

Ensure all de velopment activities done on stipulated time line and meet all project requirements.

APQP:

Experience with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and its application in part de velopment.

Ability to de velop and procure components from vendors within time, cost, and quality objectives.

Experience in vendor analysis, rationalization, capacity assessment, and time frame agreement.

De sign Review:

Ability to review de sign and manufacturing feasibility assessments with R&Dconsidering capacity.

Problem Solving:

Proactive identification and resolution of issues, maintaining quality standards.

Other Important Skills:

Communication:

Excellent communication and coordination skills for effective collaboration with de sign teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Project Management:

Ability to track project timelines, identify critical path activities, and de velop risk mitigation plans.
