Job summary

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. invites applications for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the cooling system design team for tractor applications. You will perform 3D modelling and detailed drawings of engine interface systems, including radiators and related components, while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 6–10 years of hands-on CAD experience, a mechanical/automotive degree, and strong English communication. Exposure to manufacturing processes and NPD is a plus.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical or Automotive engineering is required.
• Strong CAD proficiency with Unigraphics, Creo and Teamcenter PLM.
• Good command of English; quick learner with analytical mindset.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and materials selection.
• Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and DFMEA/DFM/ DFA.

Responsibilities

• Work in the cooling system team for tractor applications.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and demonstrate cooling system activities.
• Engage with suppliers and participate in critical parts development and technology initiatives.
• Create conceptual options and finalize 3D layouts for engine interface systems.
• Perform heat load calculations and prepare SORs.
• Design engine interface components (radiator, charge air cooler, hoses, etc.) in 3D and drawings.
• Expose to manufacturing processes like rubber, plastic moulding and sheet metal.
• Collaborate with COEs and support NPD projects.

• Work in the cooling system team for tractor application.
• Atending cross functional team & demonstrating the cooling system activities.
• Smart handling of problem solving techiniqques.
• Customer to solve cooling system issues.
• Supplier visits and getting on the critical parts development activities & New technology development along with suppliers.
• Make different Conceptual options to finalise 3D layout
• Heat load calculations, Preparation of SOR.
• Packaging & integrating Engine interface systems into a vehicle
• Detailed design of Engine interface systems (3D modeling and drawing preparation) like Radiator, Charge air Cooler, Fuel Cooler, Air cleaner, Muffler, Hoses, surge tank & Mountings to meet Delivery targets.
• Should have exposure on manufacturing process like rubber and plastic moulding and sheet metal fabrication.
• Should have worked in New Product Development Projects
• Good Knowledge in GD & T, Tolerance stack up
• Co-ordinations and discussion with other COEs

• Should have good analytical skill while analyzing technical data / information
• Good knowledge of MPDS & Ms-Office utilities like: Word, Power point, Excel
