Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Automobile engineer to lead vehicle packaging and DMU sign-off across passenger and commercial vehicle segments. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams for BOM changes, ECN handling, and validation planning.

The role requires expertise in CATIA, Teamcenter PLM, and 3D modelling, with strong knowledge of AVP processes, homologation requirements, and performance simulation. Join a team driving future mobility solutions.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile.
• Hands on experience with Catia, Teamcenter PLM & Teamcenter Visualization.
• Experience with DMU, 3D modelling and vehicle layout drafting.

Responsibilities

• Lead in vehicle packaging and DMU sign-off considering homologation requirements and future regulations.
• Coordinate with AGGREGATE teams for ECN/ BOM changes and validation planning.
• Drive vehicle architecture concepts, performance simulation and validation tracking.
• Ensure EN/PR release, EBOM, Installation drawings release through PLM and align with project milestones.
• Support in benchmarking, target setting and cascading system-level targets.

Job description

Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:

• 1. Concept preparations and evaluation based on weight, cost, attributes, vehicle variants/ platform modularity.
• 2. Lead Packaging & integration of Vehicle systems.
• 3. Vehicle architecture & vehicle parameter calculation knowledge like, Wheel base calc, CG calc, Vehicle performance calc.
• 4. Lead DMU packaging reviews, Concerns resolution, Preparation of DMU reports & Sign off.
• 5. Support in Validation concerns tracking and resolution along with CFT
• 6. Support in Service concerns tracking and resolution along with CFT
• 7. Support in Plant concerns tracking and resolution along with CFT
• 8. Vehicle packaging and DMU sign off considering existing homologation requirements and future upcoming regulations.
• 9. Ensure EN / PR release, EBOM, Installation drg release through PLM and track and coordinate other aggregate releases
• 10. Participate in vehicle benchmarking, Vehicle Target setting and Cascading the same to System level targets.

1. Vehicle system level functioning/design of Passenger & Commercial Vehicle Systems, Categories & Application
2. EBOM/ MBOM/ SAP BOM/ ADD DELETE expert
3. Change scope definition preparation, Concept BOM generation
4. Knowledge of Frame design and Key design principles of other critical vehicle aggregates
5. Knowledge on manufacturing processes, plant assembly layouts
6. Knowledge of SAM process
7. DMU (Digital Mock Up), 3D modelling, Assembly, Drafting (vehicle layouts)
8. Hands on Experience on Catia, Team center PLM & Teamcenter Visualization
9. Exposure to existing and future Homologation requirements of Commercial/ SUV Vehicles CAE, Testing & Validation
10. Hand on experience on coordination with overall product development team including all aggregates, attributes, design, and verification/validation
11. Knowledge of product complexity/modularity management, manufacturing methods
12. Knowledge of Product life cycle, APQP, DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DFS, QC Tools
13. Hands on experience on Vehicle architecture
14. Understanding on Vehicle Performance Simulation
15. Overview about Validation Testing & Monitoring
16. Experience on GNOVAC, Build & Validation Concern Analysis, Tracking & monitoring.
17. Knowledge over ADAS, ESP,
18. Knowledge of NCAPS- Euro/ ANCAP/ GNCAP/ BNCAP
19. Detailed experience of Vehicle Architecture
20. Well verse with Future technology & Trends
21. Skilled with AI tools- To improve efficiency of VI role
22. Overview of Table top business case
23. Should understand time cost, performance factors involved in part development. Able to prepare decision matrix for engineering proposals.
