Job summary

SV Management Consultants is seeking a Production Engineer for the Paint Shop CED line in Pune. The role involves planning, executing and monitoring daily production for CED and powder coating, ensuring adherence to shift plans and customer requirements.

The candidate should have managerial experience in CED paint shops within the automotive sector or Tier 1, with emphasis on process control, safety, and continuous improvement. On-site position with collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in CED paint shop at managerial level in automotive.
• Experience in automotive or Tier 1 would be desired, especially sheet metal.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor daily production activities for CED and Powder Coating processes.
• Ensure production per daily/shift plan and customer requirements.
• Monitor line loading, cycle time, throughput and productivity.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, equipment, chemicals, paint/powder and utilities.
• Coordinate with Production Planning, Press Shop, Quality, Maintenance, Stores and Dispatch for smooth material flow.
• Control WIP and ensure timely movement of components through the paint shop.
• Ensure working of processes as per requirements.
• Ensure compliance with legal, statutory & customer requirements in Paint Shop.
• Manpower handling and training.
• New product process parameter setting, hanger designing & line balancing.
• Cost saving projects for energy, paint & manpower saving.
• Ensuring all parameters of PT & CED baths within specification.
• Correct bath parameters by chemical addition.
• Collect bath samples from PT & CED line.
• Monitor bath parameters such as pointage, temp and pressure.
• Check lab bath parameters: poundage, pH, conductivity, FA, NVM & gas points, temp & pressure.
• Daily check CED & Powder coated parts DFT, Addison & Impact test and maintain records.

• Ensure Working of Process as per process requirements.
• Ensure Compliance of Legal, statutory & Customer Requirements in Paint Shop

• Checking all the bath parameters in the lab such as poundage, PH, Conductivity, FA , NVM & Gas point, temperature and pressure etc.
• Daily check CED & Powder coated parts DFT, Addison & Impact test & maintain the records

Functional Requirements :

• Experience in CED paint shop at managerial level in automotive industry.
• Experience in automotive or automotive Tier 1 would be desired especially sheet metal industry.
