Job summary

Organo Eco Habitats is seeking a Senior Engineer – MEP to lead the design and execution of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems across our eco-habitat projects.

As part of the engineering team, you will coordinate with architects and sustainability consultants, ensure compliance with IGBC/GRIHA guidelines, and oversee site inspections, commissioning, and ongoing optimization of energy and water efficiency.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in MEP execution for real estate/residential township or hospitality projects.
• Proven ability to lead MEP design and execution across large-scale developments.
• Strong knowledge of sustainable building technologies and green certifications (IGBC, GRIHA).
• Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate MEP design with architects and sustainability consultants.
• Review MEP designs for codes, standards, and green building guidelines.
• Supervise installation of MEP systems and monitor timelines, costs, and safety.
• Manage contracts, billing, and performance tracking of contractors and vendors.
• Implement energy-efficient and water-saving technologies aligned with Organo's goals.
• Maintain project documentation including BOQs, drawings, test reports, and commissioning checklists.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer – MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) to lead and manage MEP design and execution across our eco-habitat projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, project management skills, and a passion for sustainable development. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration of MEP systems that align with our sustainability ethos.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Design Coordination:
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and sustainability consultants to integrate MEP systems in design stages.
• Evaluate and review MEP designs ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and green building guidelines.
• Execution & Supervision:
• Supervise contractors and subcontractors during installation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.
• Monitor project timelines, costs, quality, and safety standards across all MEP aspects.
• Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Vendor & Contractor Management:
• Evaluate and onboard MEP contractors and vendors.
• Manage contracts, billing, and performance tracking.
• Sustainability & Innovation:
• Implement energy-efficient and water-saving technologies that align with Organo's eco-habitat goals.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate innovative, sustainable MEP solutions.
• Documentation & Compliance:
• Maintain project documentation including BOQs, drawings, material approvals, test reports, and commissioning checklists.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory bodies, green building certifications (IGBC, GRIHA), and statutory approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 8–12 years of experience in MEP execution in real estate/residential townships/hospitality projects.
• Proven experience in handling MEP aspects of large-scale residential or mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of sustainable building technologies, green certifications, and environmental systems.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Attributes

• Passion for sustainability and environmentally conscious design.
• Familiarity with eco-habitat or farm-community developments.
• Exposure to BIM/Revit tools for MEP coordination is desirable.
